Terms of Service

1. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law, third-party right, or platform terms.
• Submit applications, outreach, or generated materials that are false, harassing, or impersonating another person.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse rate limits.
• Connect third-party accounts (Gmail, Calendar) you are not authorized to use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (Google, OpenAI, Stripe, Zoho, Railway, PostHog, and others described in the Privacy Policy). Their terms govern your use of those services. We are not responsible for outages or behavior of third-party providers.

4. AI-generated content

Resumes, cover letters, outreach drafts, negotiation playbooks, and scoring outputs are generated by large language models. They are drafts. You are responsible for reviewing them for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before sending, submitting, or sharing. We do not warrant that AI outputs are correct, complete, or fit for any purpose.

5. Service changes

The Service is offered "as-is." Features, limits, and integrations may be added, changed, or removed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

6. Fees and billing

SearchSteward offers a paid subscription at the price shown at checkout (plus any applicable tax), billed through Stripe. New subscriptions may include a free trial: you provide a payment method up front but are not charged until the trial ends, at which point the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel first. Subscriptions renew each billing period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you retain access until then. Pricing and refund terms are described at checkout and in our Refunds Policy. We do not store full payment-card details; payment information is handled by Stripe.

7. Termination

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Privacy. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, or discontinue the Service. On termination, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or opportunity. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence still apply.
